2017 Shirley Thomson Memorial Lecture -"House of Wayward Spirits: Art and Rebellion, a look at works that push the boundaries of art + culture, First Nations style"

Carleton University and the University of Ottawa are pleased to announce the 2017 Shirley Thomson Memorial Lecture entitled "House of Wayward Spirits: Art and Rebellion, a look at works that push the boundaries of art + culture, First Nations style" given by guest lecturer Wanda Nanibush on Thursday, September 14th from 6pm - 8pm in the auditorium of the National Gallery of Canada. Wanda Nanibush is the first Curator of Indigenous Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Please also join us for an on-campus seminar led by Wanda at the Carleton University Art Gallery, Friday September 15th, 10am - 12pm. The seminar is called "Towards the 'Outside' within Exhibitions.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required. The lecture and seminar will be conducted in English.
